Do Russian students need a visa to attend the summer program in Beijing?
No visa is currently required for most Russian students attending our two-week summer program in Beijing.
China currently offers a 30-day visa-free entry policy for Russian citizens holding ordinary passports, valid until 14 September 2026.
This fully covers the duration of our two-week summer academy, making travel to Beijing convenient for both students and accompanying family members.
As visa policies may be updated, we recommend confirming the latest official requirements before travel.
How long can Russian students stay in China without a visa?
Russian citizens holding ordinary passports may currently stay in China for up to 30 days per entry without a visa.
Since Spark Summer Academy runs for two weeks, the full program comfortably fits within the visa-free period.
Is Beijing safe for international students aged 12–17?
Yes. Beijing is widely considered one of the safest major cities in the world for international students and families.
The program is hosted at Beijing Huijia Private School, a leading international school campus with secure facilities, dedicated staff, and supervised student life.
Students are accompanied by program staff during all scheduled academic and city activities.
Is the program suitable for IB and international school students?
Absolutely.
Spark Summer Academy is designed with an IB-inspired approach, emphasizing inquiry, presentation, reflection, leadership, and interdisciplinary learning.
The program is especially suitable for students from IB, IGCSE, British, American, and bilingual international school systems.
What level of English is required?
Students should be comfortable participating in an English-speaking classroom environment.
Native-level fluency is not required.
The program is specifically designed to help students strengthen spoken English confidence, academic communication, and presentation skills.
Where do students stay during the program?
Students stay on the secure campus of Beijing Huijia Private School.
Accommodation is arranged in supervised student residences with staff support, meals, and daily coordination included.
What is included in the tuition fee?
The tuition fee includes:
